[14 November 2024] Webinar Mainstreaming Marine Biogeochemistry Research in Indonesia
The Indonesian Marine Biogeochemistry Forum (IMBF) welcomes you to attend our second webinar series
Mainstreaming Marine Biogeochemistry Research in Indonesia
The opening remarks will be delivered by Prof. Dr. A'an J. Wahyudi, Chairman of the IMBF from the Research Center for Oceanography BRIN.
Our distinguished speakers include:
- Dr. Rastina from Dept. of Marine Sciences & Tech, IPB University, who will provide a talk about, “Understanding ocean chemistry: salinity, pH and nutrients”.
- Buntora Pasaribu, Ph.D. from Dept. of Marine Sciences, UNPAD, who will discuss, "The biogeochemical impacts of climate change in the oceans ".
The session will be moderated by Dr. Afdal from the Research Center for Oceanography BRIN.
More about the upcoming webinar
The webinar offers a critical opportunity to delve into pressing issues affecting our planet. As we grapple with the accelerating effects of climate change, gaining insights into the complex interplay of salinity, pH, and nutrient cycles within the ocean is paramount. By participating in this webinar, we can gain valuable knowledge about the specific challenges and opportunities facing Indonesian waters. This understanding will empower us to develop effective strategies for marine conservation, sustainable resource management, and climate change adaptation. Moreover, the webinar will highlight the importance of international collaboration and knowledge sharing in addressing global oceanographic challenges. By strengthening our connections with the Indonesian scientific community, we can foster collaborative research projects, exchange expertise, and contribute to the global effort to protect our oceans.
Who is it for?
The webinar has been organized with researchers and academics in mind, but the organizers warmly welcome anyone who wants to learn more about marine biogeochemistry research in Indonesia.
When and where?
