ABSTRACT:
General Relativity has been a successful theory in describing the gravitational field as a curvature of spacetime. However, some observational results might hint that General Relativity should be modified. In this talk, I will present an introduction to Metric-Affine General Relativity, as one of the modified theories of gravity where the Levi-Civita connection is replaced by a more general affine connection. Moreover, by applying the 3+1 ADM formulation, we could have new additional hypersurface variables that arise from the torsion and non-metricity terms of the affine connection.
