[13th, June 2023] Drivers of Marine Biodiversity Loss in Southeast Asia
This seminar will explore key direct drivers for marine biodiversity loss (overfishing, aquaculture, pollution, climate change, and invasive species) in Asia. The major critique is that UNCLOS Part XII (Marine Environmental Protection) to a large extent only focuses on pollution, which is important, but not sufficient. Therefore, this seminar will explore the state practices of especially Indonesia (implementation and enforcement of marine biodiversity conservation)
