Nanoscale Green Synthesis and Application

The Institute of Advanced Technology (ITMA) will be organizing the 5th International Symposium on Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology (iSAMN2021). iSAMN is an ITMA annual event that serves as a platform for sharing research findings and expertise with research communities and industries worldwide.

The COVID-19 pandemic taught us to remain anchored in our research activities. The adoption of digital technology to run virtual workshops, webinars, or web conferences has become the best strategy to replace traditional practices.  Hence, iSAMN2021, with the theme, Nanoscale Green Synthesis, and Applications, will be hosted online on December 9-10, 2021. We will use the web-conference format similar to our previous iSAMN2020 as a new norm of virtual gathering in the pandemic era.

We also take this opportunity to announce that ITMA will be rebranding to a new name; the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ION2). iSAMN2021 will be the pinnacle program of the ION2 launching. Rebranding to ION2 is seen as a crucial step towards becoming a world-class research institute in the field of nanoscience and nanotechnology.

ISAMN e-proceeding will be registered with ISSN, providing the opportunity for Scopus indexing. In addition, only a minimal conference fee will be imposed as a special offer in conjunction with the launch of ION2. There will be a limited number of paper/presentation slots available.

CALL FOR PAPERS

The organizing committee for the International Symposium on Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology 2021 (iSAMN 2021) invites chemists, physicists, and researchers from academia and industries to submit original research extended abstracts. 

The symposium will be hosted online from 9 - 10 December 2021.  The theme of the symposium is “Nanoscale Green Synthesis and Applications”.

The theme for the symposium covers a broad research area of nanoscience research and nanotechnology-related works. The topics for the symposium thus include, but are not limited to:

• Green synthesis/processing of advanced materials/nanomaterials
• Green products and applications of advanced materials/nanomaterials
• Nanocomposites
• Nanocoating
• Nanocatalysts
• Nanosensors
• Nanoporous Materials
• Nanoelectronics
• Nano energy
• Nanodelivery
• Nanoagriculture
• Nanotoxicology
• Environment and Safety and
• Other related topics of interest

PAPER SUBMISSION

The paper must be written in English with a minimum of four (4) pages.  Kindly follow the standard TEMPLATE single-column format (A4 size). You can download the template here.

Submission must be done electronically through EDAS Conference papers submission at https://edas.info/N29084. It is recommended to use Firefox or Chrome browser for this purpose. 

NOTE: Accepted AND presented papers will be published in the conference e-proceeding with ISSN number.

Selected papers will be published in a Special Issue of the International Journal of Nanotechnology by Inderscience (Q4, IF = 0.487)

ORAL PRESENTATION

The oral presentation will be limited to 25 minutes in total (including a 5-minutes Q&A session). Presentations must be performed using PowerPoint.

2. Notification of acceptance: 15 November 2021 29 November 2021

3. Final paper submission: 28 November 2021 5 December 2021

4. Non-presenter registration deadline: 28 November 2021 3 December 2021
